Figure out the world’s most populous countries by 2050

The infographic sheds light on the world’s most populous countries, by putting 2017 population records and forecasts for 2050.

While China has the highest population record of 1.61 billion people, India is predicted to overtake China as the world’s most populous nation by 2050.

India’s population will grow by 23.88 percent to reach 1.66 billion people by 2050, compared to a 1.41 percent increase to 1.36 billion people in China during the same period.

World population currently stands at 7.6 billion people, while expected to soar to 9.8 billion people by 2050, where ten countries (India, Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Tanzania, the United States, Uganda, Indonesia and Egypt) are going to account collectively for more than half the world's expected population growth.
