Indians, Chinese workers dominate most of US H-1B visas

U.S. Department data showed that Indian and Chinese workers won most of H-1B visas issued in 2016, raising questions about the ability of President Donald Trump to give the priority to American talents.

Indians were granted 126,692 H-1B visas last year, followed by 21,657 visas for Chinese workers, given the fact that these visas are dominated by high-tech, industrial and medical jobs.

Trump is looking forward to prompting American employers to hire Americans, where he has criticized them of favoring cheaper foreign workers.
