List Of Countries With The Largest Military Spending

The infographic shows top countries in terms of military spending in 2016 based on the most recent report by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute.

The report signaled the world’s aggregate spending on defense edged up by 0.4 percent from 2015 to $1.686 trillion last year.

The U.S. came in the first place with military spending reaching $611 billion. That’s much higher than the second-positioned China’s total of $215 billion.

Saudi Arabia, which was the highest country in terms of military spending in 2015, retreated to the fourth place with a total of $63.7 billion.
